Should I Join Amway Or Not?

In recent weeks, I've received numerous emails from people who have asked me this question. My contact information is available on this site, and some people who have seen it have inquired as to whether I believe they should join Amway or not. Unfortunately, I am unable to provide an answer to this question for anyone. Rather than making a decision for anyone considering the Amway business, I can only provide knowledge and share my personal experience so that they can make an informed decision.

Here are a few recommendations I would provide to aspiring Amway Independent Business Owners. You can either obtain an Amway product catalogue or visit their website to view their product line and pricing information. Consider whether you would honestly utilise these products as a consumer if you were not going to be a part of the Amway organisation. Try asking a few friends or family members if they would be interested in the identical things at the prices that have been mentioned. What I discovered was that Amway products were frequently not competitively priced, and that I could often get more product for a lower price by purchasing at local retail stores rather than through Amway.

I would also make an effort to fully comprehend how the bonus schedule operates, as well as the expenditures connected with it. For example, your lowest bonus level would be 100 PV if you had no other bonuses. In terms of personal usage and/or retail sales, 100 PV equals around $300. How much does a married couple spend on toothpaste, home cleaners, and laundry detergent on a monthly basis, and how do you know? The answer, in my opinion, is "no." Imagine being a single person and being expected to go through that amount of money in things.

You should also be informed of the financial implications of being an independent company owner, sometimes known as a "IBO." Example: Your upline or "mentor" will expect you to study books, listen to CDs, subscribe to a voicemail system, and participate in group activities such as meetings and social gatherings These "tools" come at a cost, and it is usual for someone to become involved with Amway and receive "training" to spend $200 or more on these expenses. What many prospects are not aware of is that your sponsor is meant to train you at no cost because they stand to benefit from any volume you generate on their behalf. Another thing that many individuals are unaware of is that your upline and "mentors" frequently receive substantial incomes from the sale of these tools, and that they make huge profits regardless of whether or not you make a profit, and that they profit even if you go bankrupt. Furthermore, there is no neutral proof that the training is helpful in terms of creating results for the participant.

As an IBO, you are bound by Amway's guidelines, which might make it difficult to make sales. For example, unless you have express approval from the Amway corporation, you are not permitted to advertise your business or products on the internet. Because you are not permitted to sell things on eBay or Craigslist, you are at a distinct disadvantage. For the most part, you will work as a commission-only sales representative for Amway, with your only option being to sell things by word of mouth, often to family and friends (have you ever heard of someone becoming wealthy doing this?).

For the record, if you do decide to join Amway and move 100 PV while also participating in all of the training, you will spend a minimum of $500 per month (minus any retail sales you are able to make) and will receive around $10 from the company. That $10 is a token of appreciation for all of the time and work it took to move that volume of stuff. If you are even a little bit serious about your Amway business, you can expect to put in roughly 10-20 hours each week on it. Instead of purchasing Amway-related things, you could obtain a 1 percent cash back credit card and earn $5 for doing nothing other than spending approximately the same amount. However, with a cash back credit card, you would most certainly spend very little of your time earning the $5.

I could go on and on about Amway, but I've highlighted a few issues regarding the company that I feel will allow the majority of individuals to make an honest and informed decision about doing business with the company. Please feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions or comments about the Amway business. My contact information is under my blog profile. Finally, whether or not to participate remains solely a matter of personal preference.
