As an independent business owner, our group was frequently taught that selling things was not that crucial. Simply purchase from yourself and encourage others to do the same. "Great, this business is wonderful for you," you answer if someone says no to your question about whether or not they enjoy selling. Alternatively, if someone expresses an interest in selling, you can respond with "wonderful, this business is excellent for you." Keep in mind that a business exists to make a profit by selling a product or providing a service. This is something I believe Amway employees are unaware of.
As a result of this inherent aversion to selling to others, many people have adapted to being their own best customer or purchasing from their own establishment. Despite the fact that it is acceptable to support one's own business, it is not true that a McDonald's owner would never eat at a Burger King or make other ridiculous statements. Think a McDonald's owner would only eat meals from his own restaurant? Do you believe this to be true? I can assure you that this is not the case. I know someone who owns a very successful pizza chain, and she claims that she never eats at her own establishment because she is tired of eating pizza all the time. I believe her. You make money selling pizza so that you can afford to eat other foods.
Amway Independent Business Owners (IBOs) should be aware of another important fact: buying from yourself and encouraging others to do the same without making any actual sales to genuine consumers is operating an illegal pyramid scheme. When the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) investigated another multilevel marketing company, Herbalife, they were not shut down, but they were fined and required to reform their business practises since the FTC determined that they lacked sales to real clients. In order to comply with the law, Herbalife is now required to track retail sales with a compliance monitor following their every move. There have been reports of Herbalifers attempting to defraud clients, as well as Herbalife executives urging people to sign up as favoured customers rather than business builders. To my mind, this implies that Herbalife is essentially admitting that they are a scam. If there was legitimate demand for their items, they would launch a drive to recruit other business builders, who would in turn sell their products to customers who were interested in them.
So, Amway Independent Business Owners, do the vast majority of your PV sales go to yourself or to customers? Are your consumers your relatives and friends, who, if they do business with you at all, do so with a certain amount of reluctance? If you are only purchasing and utilising your own items, you are not eligible to receive an Amway performance bonus at this time. On the plus side, it appears that Amway just ignores this regulation and continues to pay bonuses as usual. When marketplaces become saturated, sales and revenues, on the other hand, cease to exist due to a lack of valid demand. Amway's revenues reached a peak of $11.8 billion in 2014, but have since fallen into a downward spiral. Amway's sales decreased by 7% in 2016, to $8.8 billion, following a double-digit decline in the previous year.
As a result of lower sales and revenues, it is only reasonable to assume that there would be less sales and volume, and hence fewer platinum and diamonds that can be supported. Amway prospects, on the other hand, will never know since, once you gain diamond distinction, Amway never updates the status of your profile. If you will, you may say that once a diamond, always a diamond. As a result, it is possible that the leaders who are worshipped on stage by Bing are no longer diamonds at all.
At the end of the day, I'm writing this post to provide you with food for thought. Too many prospects and independent business owners (IBOs) are not aware of these challenges, but they should be.
