According to a recent site visitor comment, Amway has ran low or out of a variety of commodities as a result of the stockpiling that was taking place in the wake of the covid.19 epidemic. The incident prompted me to recall a claim made by my upline at some point in the past. That you can earn an endless amount of money as an Amway Independent Business Owner (IBO). They would tell you that the sky is the limit.
While that notion appears to be true, it is in fact nothing more than a load of hogwash. As is the case with many other aspects of Amway, you are constrained by the company itself. In the same manner that you are unable to advertise without their authorization and are unlikely to prevail in any legal conflicts with Amway, you are also restricted in your earning potential because you are unable to sell anything that Amway does not have. I suppose you could try to sell everything out of the Amway warehouse, but good luck with that endeavour.
It is ultimately just another dubious assertion made by upline leaders in order to make a point or to put lipstick on a pig, to put it another way. It's similar to how you can sponsor six people who in turn sponsor six people, and so on. It appears to be simple and straightforward until you try to put it into action. A lot of the Amway teachings are similar to this. It appears to make sense until you really try to put it into practise, at which point it becomes absurd. I suppose this claim might be compared to the common one of going diamond, walking away from a business, and collecting residual income for the rest of one's life, which is also true.
Oddly enough, I know a number of retired firefighters, bankers, and government employees, but I have never encountered someone who was able to retire because of residual Amway revenue.
