Information For Amway Prospects?

While working as an independent business owner, I was completely unaware of the fact that our Amway uplines were benefitting off our tool purchases. As a member of the WWDB team at the time, I was told unequivocally that no money was generated from the tools and, in fact, I was informed that WWDB was a non-profit company. Both of these comments were outright lies uttered by WWDB officials, and they have never been held accountable for them. We were told that our upline was concerned about us and our success, and that they would spend their own money to fly to functions to educate us how to be successful in our business venture. The opposite is true, and considerable profits can be generated from the same of Amway tools and functions, with some diamonds earning more from tools and functions than they do from the company itself!

The internet and other media eventually made it hard to hide these lies, and uplines were forced to declare that they had benefitted from the tools they were selling. However, it appears that they have understated the scale of the earnings from the instruments. I suspect that certain upline members, particularly leaders who may have lost their diamond qualification, may have derived the majority of their revenue through tools. Although the upline now acknowledges that they make some money from tools, there is still a significant lot of mystery around the tools industry. In a sense, the whole situation is ironic in that uplines are apparently not intended to attract Amway prospects into joining by using the tools money as a draw, but at the same time they are taught that tools are essential to their success and that they too would benefit from it in the future.

Considering the fact that their uplines may not be qualified at the diamond level of whatever level they claim to be, I'm curious how many prospects or independent business owners (IBOs) would be motivated to purchase tools if they knew that their uplines would make a tonne of money regardless of whether or not they made a cent as an IBO. Additionally, some uplines are shameless in their efforts to push the tools downline. Although they may give the new guy a break and loan them some CDs, once that IBO decides to start building downline, they are likely to be told that a real business owner buys their own tools, or that a business owner needs to be a leader and purchase additional tools for their downline to be successful. And it is at this point that the expenses (as well as the business losses) of an Amway IBO begin to accumulate.

What would you think if your upline was bragging about themselves as a financial genius while, in the background, their homes were being foreclosed on or they were experiencing financial difficulties? What happens if your upline imposes their morals on you and you discover that they are divorced or are in the process of becoming divorced? Is it true that Amway can save marriages, according to your upline? Your upline will certainly not claim to be perfect, but on the contrary, they should be held to the highest standards if they are using their position to be able to influence others in their personal life while also selling products and making significant profits from the people they influence. Consequently, in my judgement, there is a conflict of interest.

My advice to prospects is to avoid the hype and spectacular presentations as much as possible. Examine the data and the difference between your profits and losses. If you are not producing net profits, what will need to alter in order for you to be able to achieve that net profit? Your best option will almost certainly be to leave Amway altogether or to cease using the tools and functions that are likely your most significant business expense in Amway.
