In our Amway meetings, our Platinum was always trying to persuade us that owning an Amway business was the same as owning a franchise, and that as business owners, we were in fact franchising ourselves. A company owner of a "Amway franchise," he said, was similar to owning a McDonald's restaurant franchise. His next target would be those moron franchise owners of McDonalds restaurants, claiming that they spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in start-up charges, whereas Amway allows you to get started in business for as little as $150.
Previously, former WWDB Lemming stated that his upline made the analogy to McDonald's 20 years ago, stating that all McDonald's franchisees follow the programme, copy what other McDonald's franchise owners before them did, and that is why they were successful. As an example, suppose you replicated your upline and became a successful Amway "franchise" business owner.
Amway meetings held 20 years apart are compared. There is no difference between running a McDonald's franchise and running an Amway operation, and there is no difference between the two, no matter how hard those Platinum bastards try to brainwash us into believing otherwise.
I'd want to make another comparison with McDonald's. The proprietor of a McDonald's restaurant earns hundreds of dollars more per month than an Amway independent business owner. Furthermore, it takes into consideration both the money from the IBO's day work and their Amway (lack of) income.
Who has made the most profitable franchise investment? Owner of a McDonald's restaurant or an Amway IBO "business owner."
I have a copy of Entrepreneur magazine's top ten franchises list for 2011. They go a step further by listing the top 10 home-based businesses, top 10 low-cost franchises, and so on. The list can be viewed at: http://www.entrepreneur.com/franchises/toptenlists/index html
My company, Amway, is nowhere to be found on their top ten listings!
In fact, I'm seeing what appears to be significantly better business chances!
Another deception perpetrated by our upline is the notion of owning a franchise. Its purpose is to give IBOs a sense of significance. Their company is their sole source of income; however, they also own a franchise.
Whoopee doo! That's a wrap!
