However, what many Amway apologists seem to be overlooking is the very real potential that Amway is simply a bad company. Even while it appears to be a brilliant idea on paper, with an excellent speaker demonstrating the strategy, the vast majority of people end up with a loss after making a significant investment of time and money.All too often, however, the fact that the system does not function is overlooked. Although it appears to be simple to "find six," the reality is that the majority of people will never find six people that are interested in seeing the plan, let alone six down line platinums. Only a fraction of one percent of IBOs ever achieve platinum status, so do the arithmetic on how to identify and retain six of these groups down line in your organisation.
Product characteristics that are generic in nature yet premium in price are the norm. Because of this fact, Amway is a business that is practically impossible to be successful in. Take the terrible reputation into consideration and you have a recipe for disaster. Amway, to state the obvious, is a terrible company in my opinion.
Because their eyesight is distorted by visions of residual income and early retirement, it's a shame that starry-eyed prospects are often unable to see through the smoke and mirrors of a sales presentation. Unfortunately, false hopes are all too frequently followed by broken dreams.
