Upline Hypocrisy?

Because the internet is so widely available, information is openly shared, and some of the dark secrets of the Lines of Sponsorship (LOS) have been revealed as a result of this. It is also becoming increasingly apparent that a group of upline leaders are massive hypocrites who are apparently motivated by avarice and personal gain as time progresses. This is also a pattern that I anticipate will continue. According to the evidence, these same leaders have been able to go through Amway's accreditation criteria, which appear to be completely ineffective.

Many upline leaders use stories about how the Amway business may help couples save their marriages to entice people to join them. I recall being in the audience when some diamonds talked about how couples who start their own businesses have a divorce rate of less than 2 percent, compared to the national average of 50 percent or so. One of the most frequently cited reasons was the financial strain that J-O-B workers were under (not enough cash). However, we are seeing more and more upline diamond leaders getting divorced, and in some cases, no explanation is given, as if the missing spouse was beam up by extraterrestrials to the surface. The history of many leaders is simply rewritten, and some leaders even deny that key events occurred. Some leaders simply act that nothing happened, and it appears that IBOs are extremely forgiving, leading to the lack of any real accountability being applied to upline leaders.

People have also discovered that some diamonds generate a significant amount of revenue from the sale of tools. When I was an IBO, we were told unequivocally that there were no profits to be earned from tools. Profits were re-invested in the functions, allowing them to become better and more affordable. If any function has become more affordable in the previous 12 years, what is it? As a matter of fact, as an Independent Business Owner, I was told that WWDB was a non-profit organisation, which I thought was a flagrant falsehood. I would concede that upline eventually revised their tale to say that WWDB was a for-profit corporation, but that no profits were retained, and that money was instead channelled to make events better and more affordable. When was the last time an event was less expensive? Now, I do not believe that events should be held for free, but I do believe that the leaders should be honest about it rather than hiding behind lies and a veil of secrecy that frequently accompany discussions of tools and tool money.

Some upline executives also expressed their displeasure with the idea of taking out a loan, stating that banks make so much money off the interest. In this day and age, we see some of these very leaders having their properties seized! Some of these jewels were the very people who claimed to pay cash for everything, including their homes and automobiles, according to the report. Instead of hoping that these individuals will suffer, it is exposing the lies and deception that leaders employed in order to persuade IBOs into joining and purchasing equipment that were meant to enable IBOs achieve the same lifestyle as diamonds. To the contrary, I believe that WWDB and some other LOSs, at least in the United States, have less diamonds currently than they had 15 years ago. Where has the proof of success been hidden?

What's even more amazing is how the hypocrisy of some of these leaders are exposed to downline and the downline simply ignores it and continues to follow blindly without an explantion or questioning the leaders after the incidents are exposed.

When these types of difficulties develop, IBOs should approach their bosses with queries. Furthermore, if the response you receive is silence or deflections, you should rethink your approach.

Uplines are expected to serve as guides and leaders in the multi-level marketing (MLM) industry, assisting downlines in becoming successful distributors of the company's products and services. Nevertheless, there are those uplines who participate in hypocrisy by saying one thing while doing another. Hypocrisy on the part of distributors' uplines can be detrimental to the MLM business and erodes the trust and faith that distributors have in those uplines. In this post, we will discuss some of the ways that upline hypocrisy can appear, as well as some of the solutions that can be used to deal with it.

Making Claims That Cannot Be Supported

Making exaggerated statements regarding the possible earnings and perks of being a member of an MLM company is one of the most common types of hypocrisy committed by upline members. It is hypocritical for uplines to promise their downlines that they can amass cash quickly and easily without putting in the necessary effort. These uplines are not being truthful with their downlines about the realities of the business. Distributors who have been led astray by their upline are susceptible to experiencing disappointment and disillusionment as a result of this.

Contributing to the Promotion of Unethical Behavior

Some uplines encourage their downline distributors to engage in unethical actions such as making false promises to consumers or exaggerating the benefits of the products they sell. Other uplines do not encourage their downline distributors to engage in unethical behaviors. This is an example of hypocrisy, as uplines should be leading by example for their downlines and supporting ethical and honest business methods rather than engaging in such activities themselves. When unethical business methods are encouraged, it can be detrimental to the reputation of the multi-level marketing company as well as the faith that clients have in the goods and services that are being sold.

They Didn't Listen to Their Own Counsel

The hypocrisy of uplines can be seen when they provide their downline distributors with guidance yet fail to follow it themselves. For instance, an upline that instructs their downline to concentrate on expanding their downline but does not themselves aggressively recruit new distributors is not setting a good example for their downline and is not leading by example. This might result in downline distributors feeling confused and mistrustful of their upline, since they may get the impression that their upline is not being honest.

Failure to Provide assistance One more way in which upline distributors can be hypocritical is when they fail to provide the required assistance and direction to the distributors in their downline. Those uplines who fail to perform their responsibilities as guides and leaders because they expect their downlines to do all the work without offering any aid or support are not doing their jobs. This might cause the distributors in the downline to feel abandoned by their upline, which can lead to feelings of frustration and a loss of motivation.

Overpromising and Underdelivering

Leaders in the upline who make claims that exceed their ability to deliver are acting hypocritically. For instance, if an upline commits to providing regular training sessions for their downline but then fails to follow through with this commitment, they are not living up to the responsibilities that they have made to that downline. This can result in mistrust and disillusionment among the distributors in the downline, who may come to believe that their upline is not living up to the promises they were made.

In conclusion, distributors' trust and faith in their uplines can be undermined when their uplines engage in hypocritical behavior, which can be harmful to the MLM firm. Uplines who fail to live up to their responsibilities to their downlines because they participate in hypocritical behavior such as making claims that are unrealistic, supporting unethical actions, not following their own advice, failing to give support, or overpromising and underdelivering on their promises are not completing their responsibilities. It is vitally crucial for uplines to be honest, ethical, and sincere in their relationships with their downline distributors in order to combat the hypocrisy that may be seen in uplines. Uplines can establish a powerful and successful downline for their MLM business by being open and honest, providing support and direction, and leading by example. This will ultimately contribute to the expansion and success of the MLM firm.
