Why Amway IBOs Fail?

Another thing that many upline leaders tout as the "secret to success" is CORE (Core of the Enterprise). I've explained the components of CORE in this section. CORE, I feel, is the key to success in the majority of AMO organisations.

1 - Demonstrate the Plan

2 - Sell the Products at Retail Stores

3 - Audio cassettes/CDs

Books (number 4)

5 - Functionalities

Accountability is number six on the list.

7 - Consult with your superiors (Always be willing to learn!)

8 - Purchase 100 percent of your own goods and services.

9 – Communicate with one another

Only the second of these nine phases is likely to result in a profit for the IBO, however this step is not stressed enough in many groups. Some leaders skip over this phase and instead encourage others to "purchase from themselves." Every other core step requires you to either spend time and/or money on activities that do not generate cash for your company. This is true for all of the other core phases. Guess what happens if you, as an IBO, spend the majority of your time on non-income earning activities? You will face financial setbacks. Given that IBOs are instructed to spend the majority of their time in activities that do not generate income, it is no surprise that nearly all of them lose money.

Consider the scenario of operating a brick-and-mortar store where you only open the doors for one hour per day. The rest of the day is spent reading books, listening to tapes/cds, paying to attend seminars, and listening to voicemail messages, among other activities. Oh, and other from opening your store for one hour a day, you don't advertise at all, relying solely on word of mouth to generate business. Would you be able to make it in business? No, I don't believe so. Amway is now advertising, but you are not affiliated with Amway; instead, you are a small independent firm.

Is it possible for an IBO to make money while spending the majority of his or her time engaged in non-income producing activities? No, I don't believe so.
