What can you expect from a typical Amway experience? According to reports, the majority of Amway employees do nothing, thus this could be typical. But why do people join up for something and then do nothing? Is it because Amway isn't or wasn't what was presented that this is the case? Was the prospect lied to or mislead in any way? That also appears to be typical.
What about those who make an effort? What do you consider to be typical? I feel that the average experience for most people who try is that they spend $300 a month on products and another couple hundred dollars on training materials such as cds, functions, and so on. So for most firm creating IBOs, the average experience will be one of a net loss in the long run. Only those who have enough downline sponsored by someone else to cover their own losses will be able to break even or make a few dollars. Because the vast majority of people do not sponsor anyone, the outcomes are extremely predictable.
For some reason, though, IBOs are adamant in their defence of Amway, even while they are losing money. It's as though IBOs have been brainwashed that Amway is their only chance, or that their lives are either Amway or nothing at all. The reality is that there are several ways to make a dollar, and the most of them will be more lucrative and possibly less difficult to start than the Amway enterprise. So much effort results in so little fruit at Amway. The method almost guarantees that just a small number of people will be successful.
According to Amay's own statistics, around one in every 200 people achieves platinum status. That equates to one-half of one percent of the population achieving the first degree of achievement (as described by many LOS). What about the rest of the group? In contrast to many of your LOS's teachings, you cannot "choose" to be successful or to go platinum. People that sell tools spread this idea, which they encourage others to believe. Consider the fact that practically any assistance you received from your upline diamond was compensated in some manner or another. Open meetings, functions, and cds were all purchased at a premium. If they were truly interested in your success, why not offer some free advice every now and then?
