We used to get fed a lot of guano from our upline, and one of the largest loads was that our business was about helping people. That the most rewarding aspect of the business was the large number of people we were able to assist. I used to be perplexed as to how we were able to assist individuals because anyone who wasn't engaged in the business was characterised as negative and should be avoided at all costs. Many members of my family and friends were among those who were negative. As a result, we only "helped" people who were already members of Amway. Nevertheless, is signing people up with Amway truly beneficial to them?
I also questioned if we could truly claim that we were assisting people in the Amway business, given that many of my crossline members had been active before I had, and they had no downline of their own. They were punctual in their attendance at all meetings and gatherings, and they met their de facto PV quota on a monthly basis. Since I was not generating any money even at greater pin levels than my crossline, I concluded that they were losing money. I suppose that despite being a dedicated IBO for more than half a year, I was able to retain some compassion and common sense in my approach to things. Also, I found a lot of meetings to be a complete waste of time, money, and effort. Despite this, I disregarded my common sense because my group was expanding and I was being edified as a leader and influencer. It's difficult to convey, but it's impossible not to be ecstatic when your group is expanding and being edified at the same time.
After stepping away from the firm, I can tell with confidence that the IBOs and upline leaders are not concerned with the well-being of their employees. They will only express an interest in you if doing so will improve their Amway business in some manner. While others volunteer their time to aid their communities or churches, or even to feed the homeless, independent business owners (IBOs) are busy attending meetings and activities and identifying prospects who will attend the next open meeting or function. While many people donate their time and money to help others, many Amway Independent Business Owners (IBOs) are trapped in a financial bind because their involvement with Amway and the systems such as N21, WWDB, LTD, or BWW consumes an IBO's time and income, rendering them unable to contribute to some of these types of causes both financially and in terms of schedule. Amway and the processes become a part of your daily life and ministry experience.
As a result, I challenge information seekers and independent business owners (IBOs) to consider this. What exactly do your upline leaders or sponsor mean when they talk about assisting people or supporting a cause? What are they referring to? What are you doing to help while you're at an event and your church or neighbours are cleaning up the highway or painting a school? Some uplines will even instruct their IBOs not to contribute to their churches' tithing collections. That they will be able to donate $10,000 in cash later. Well, that later hardly ever arrives, and the money that churches and charities collect is used to aid others immediately, rather than waiting until someone becomes a millionaire.
As a result, do IBOs actually assist people?
