Because I have such "fond" memories of the trade show at Family Reunion, I thought I'd check the WWDB website to see if there was any mention of the kinds of trade show treats that would be available to the unfortunate bastards who would be attending the Amway WWDB Family Reunion in Boise, Idaho, in July 2011. I found nothing.
This year's fakey trade expo appears to be a little different than the one I went last year. The Friday night trade show workshops and seminars are what they're calling them. From what I've heard, it appears to be more or less the same thing as the trade fair I attended last year. Demos and booths will be available. According to the dixie cup of Perfect Water and packet of one-use Artistry face cream that we received, these were stingy demonstrations.
What do you think about this for a way to pass the time on a Friday night?
1. Gaining an understanding of standing orders and digital delivery methods. Yes, that's correct. I'd rather be learning this garbage than going to a Rolling Stones concert on a Friday night, to be honest.
2. The launch of the new WWDB application. It's a bummer if you don't have an iPhone, to be honest. Expect the cult leaders to bully their followers into purchasing new phones so that they may use this new app. More money has been poured down the toilet with the classic Amway tool scam!
3. Demonstrating the operation of Legacy of Clean. Here's a piece of breaking news for those conceited Amway bastards. A washing machine and a dishwasher were typically learned to operate by the time they were twelve years old by the vast majority of women. It's possible that this was a skill that took you a bit longer to master than you anticipated! We are all familiar with the proper usage of laundry soap and dishwasher soap. It was something we worked out a long time ago. Over the years, we've learned which detergents do an excellent job of keeping our clothes and dishes clean. We've learned this by trial and error. Because we are excellent comparison shoppers, we are familiar with the approximate pricing of nearly every soap available. We are aware of a fantastic price and will purchase an additional item if it is on sale. We are all aware that Amway's soap is pricey, and that there are better, less expensive alternatives available on the market today. You can be quite certain that whoever is exhibiting this nonsense went to a great deal of bother to find perhaps the only soap on the planet that does not clean as effectively as Amway's products.
Nutrilite Weight Management is the fourth option. Oh, that's right. This tool is really effective, as demonstrated by some of the speakers who have taken the stage.. There is a 95 percent failure rate for people who attempt diets like this, according to statistics. Individuals who do not make money in Amway have about the same odds of failing as those who do. This is a firm that delights in stacking the deck against you and designing their systems to fail in every way!
5. Get on the fast track! Make some money! Yeah, that's right! It's all stuff I've heard before! When we arrived, they were referring to it as Fast Track as well!
6. Artistry will be on hand once more, this time handing out parsimonious sample packages. Avon is more generous with their samples than other companies. It is less costly. More diversity is always a good thing. Is there anything else I can say? Artistry is a complete waste of time!
So it tells me that there will be approximately 6 exhibitors/snake oil pitchers at the trade fair. I didn't say how many I had in my prior post, but I believe it was less than ten, at the time. With less than 20 minutes to spare, we sped through the trade exhibition. Rather than forcing “serious business builders” to stay a little longer, they're luring them in with a series of “very important” seminars that will be spread out over a couple of hour period. The presentations and demos will begin at various times between 6:30pm and 8:30pm on different nights. Avoid getting your underwear tangled. Those seminars are only about 5 minutes in length. There are only so many ways you can lie about a bad product until it becomes a joke.
There are plenty of enjoyable activities to do in Boise on a hot July weekend. Anyone up for a day at the waterpark?
