Our friend, who also happens to know and despise our former Platinum from the first time we were in Amway and WWDB over ten years ago, joined us for dinner a few of weeks ago. Our friend had never worked for Amway. She is also not friends with our former Platinum; she just knew her through mutual connections when they were together.
She informed us that she knows someone who is still in Amway who is acquainted with our former Platinum, however she was unsure whether they were in the same downline or crossline. Anyway, according to an Amway insider, our former Platinum member committed a heinous crime and was expelled from the company.
When we first met her, I didn't care for her. She was a snarling, obnoxious jerk. I don't recall ever having the impression that we were in a cult or that we were being brainwashed, to put it in a more positive light. What I don't know is whether or not cult practises were condoned at the time in World Wide Dream Builders, or whether or not she violated the be-a-good-cult-leader policy, or whether or not she was a bad brainwasher. I really don't know. All I can say is that we lost a few thousand dollars, never recruited any downline members, never made any money, and eventually gave up. There was no indication of emotional discomfort.
It wasn't until the final round of Amway that the terror struck. The entire horror, complete dread, and full-blown cult form of Amway was on display.
As far as I'm concerned, Amway terminated the wrong Platinum representative. Our most recent Platinum award is more deserving. He defrauds Amway and steals from them. He is a liar who fucks over Amway. It appears that Amway appreciates and supports those characteristics in their Platinums, because he is still strutting around as the arrogant asshole top shit Amway commissioned salesman, which he believes to be the best job in the world.
Is it possible to terminate a Platinum? Why would Amway take such a step? Someone at the Platinum level is likely to have at least $25,000 in downline sales per month coming through Amway to support their lifestyle. Amway does not want to lose those kinds of sales opportunities in the future.
So, why would Amway decide to deactivate our first Platinum member account? Because you're a mean b*tch? No way in hell. If they followed that criterion, they would have very few Platinums left.
Is it appropriate to fire a Platinum for lying to their downline? What the f*ck is going on? Amway would have 0 Platinums if this were the case!
Is it appropriate to fire a Platinum for lying to Amway's headquarters and stealing from them? Nope. That a Platinum can get away with such behaviour is demonstrated by our former Platinum, who also serves as living proof that Amway does not give a damn and does nothing.
In contrast to our prior Platinum, our first Platinum did not abuse the downline, and if someone was going to be kicked out of Amway for being an asshole to their downline, it should have been the pretentious sack of sh*t rather than the hateful, bossy bitch.
So much for her being a self-proclaimed "company owner." In my experience, there isn't a single respectable business owner who runs a legitimate business who can be dismissed. Don't you have your own company, don't you? You are the one in charge. Who has the authority to terminate you? Are you able to fire yourself? It's a joke, of course!
For many years, my husband and I have been in the business of selling things. Who has the authority to terminate us? I suppose we may both be fired at the same time. What kind of entertainment would that be? It would be a bit of a blunder. Increase the amount of work the other person has to do.
One of the numerous lies is the Amway crap that you are a business owner who owns your own Amway business, which is just one of many. The truth is that you can have your "company" yanked away from you at any time, for no apparent reason, even after years of hard work and thousands of dollars invested in the Amway pyramid scheme. This is demonstrated by the fact that we received our first Platinum.
Well, that's life. The worst thing that could have happened to a nicer person did. It's a joke, of course!
One down, one to go......................
