Dodging the Amway Bullet

Anna, I've only recently become a great fan of this blog. I *almost* started a significant relationship with someone who was strongly involved in Amway. I genuinely cared about her, and I really loved her...but thank God, I never showed it. What do you think the reason is? Amway. Amway is the company that I despise the most out of any other in the world. In my perspective, they are not even a legally valid company entity. They are in the business of coercing others into handing over their money for their benefit. It is heinous, sickening, and completely wrong. Somewhere I read that the French government chased them out of their country and prosecuted them in the United States Courts for a while. Is this true? Fortunately, I'm married to a wonderful man who cares about me and is not interested in Amway products. To be honest, I do put in a lot of effort and have a strong desire to try my hand at real entrepreneurship one day. Warmest greetings to you. Tell your ex-Ambot that they should consider pursuing real entrepreneurship, something that allows them to solve an issue they are passionate about or allows them to be creative in a way they truly like. Warmest greetings!

Yes, I'd say you escaped with your life on this occasion! Your ex is obviously in the minority in Amway because there are very few single women working there. Amway, or at the very least the jerks who go about leading Amway meetings, boast about how Amway is a family-owned company. However, that isn't going to stop them from defrauding anyone, single or married, out of their money in the future. The single women in Amway may have gone because the jerk who sponsored them told them it was an excellent spot to meet men who were on their way somewhere else. Yes, if you regard travelling to bankruptcy court as a journey to someplace!

Essentially, Amway is a good old boy's club, with meetings and training sessions for the guys to teach them how to be male chauvinist pigs, and for the ladies in their lives to have some sort of unnatural loyalty to you, like a Stepford Wife. Since the 1960s, women haven't been too fond of that kind of masculine attitude toward them. The Amway organisation is not a good fit for single women. Amway is a place where NO ONE belongs, not even themselves!

Amway is a for-profit corporation that does not operate legally. At the most basic level, it can be stated as being an Amway commissioned salesperson. Mainly it involves belonging to an expensive social club where the jerks in your Amway upline push you into overspending at your “own” Amway store. That sounds like a one-way journey to poverty street if you are a business owner with only you as your consumer base.
