Getting Scammed Into An Amway Meeting Part 2

As a follow-up to a previous post about being conned into attending an Amway meeting on the pretence that it was some sort of hiring fair, in response to the “not interested” text he sent to the Amway bastards, this is the continuation of that storey. X received a text message from a scamming lying Amway guy that was full of canned brainwashed Amspeak! A lot of your time will be spent begging and pleading with other people to join the Amway organisation if you are an Amway Ambot. Amway meetings are described by X as "freaky, cult-like, misogynistic, and strange," which is exactly what they are. Thank you for taking the time to share your storey!

This is an exact match of the original response. I returned with my remarks in (**)s, which you can see below.

"Please understand that we did not wake up one morning and declare that "this is completely for us," but it works, and working for someone else's aspirations does not work, or you would not be open to opportunities! In fact, we have our own dreams, and they do not include ever having to attend any more meetings or those crazy "family reunions" they were referring to*. We've formed a group of retired, debt-free individuals who are in complete command of their time.

You do not have enough knowledge and answers to make any type of decision, which is why we are going through this process to provide you with additional information about what we do in real life. (*Wait a minute, what? Is it possible that we don't have enough information? The information you provided plainly said that just 0.3 percent of all of your IBOs achieve the 60k per year you guarantee, and that the 150k per year falls down to something like, 0.018 percent or whatever.... oh, and you're CRAZY*) Furthermore, we would not extend an offer to you unless we were confident that it was a good match; we are only interested in "A" players. (*I get they've met my wife, and she's really intelligent and amazing, but how do I qualify as a "A" list player?? They had never met me before! I'm probably a B-Roll at the very best of times!*)

This is not meant to offend you in any way, but what we have discovered about people with your current perspective is that they tend to be two things...

1. You did not read the book or listen to the CDs that we sent you in order to get a better understanding of what we are capable of and what it can do for your family in terms of extra time and financial resources. (*Based on your OWN STATS, we've read enough to know that we're unlikely to ever make any money off of this...but whatever*)

Instead of looking at the Better Business Bureau, which gives us an A+ rating in 2013, you listened to a friend or family member who knew of a friend who wasn't successful, or you tried to research from the internet (Google- the bathroom wall of society) (*I believe they are referring to news articles and FCC fines and other forms of factual reporting?*) from an ignorant source (ie. blog) (*I believe this is a jab at YOU*). (*Which my wife discovered is available for purchase....*)

Please contact us to set up a time for us to continue the chat......."

She pushed us to conduct research, which we did, and now she is upset with us because we did not conduct the proper research?

If your goal statement included rescuing people from this cult, you were successful in certain ways. We were actually driving away from the hotel where the conference was being hosted when we came across this blog post.

Never, ever again!

Oh, and did you notify Amway's corporate headquarters about those jerks' violation of one of the company's policies? That would be the one about bragging about Amway's BBB rating, if you must know what I mean. According to Amway's codes of conduct, violating them can result in the IBO being fired. Why do Amway jerks walk about bragging about their A+, AAAA+, or whatever rating they have? The Better Business Bureau awards an A+ rating to any company that pays the annual fee and answers to any complaints within the time period specified, regardless of whether the customer – or in Amway's case, the victim – agrees with the response. That is all there is to it. Pay the BBB annual fee and react to communications within the specified time range. If Amway fired every Independent Business Owner (IBO) who broke its policies, they would have no one left! LOL!!!
