Is it true that I used Artistry products?
Nope.
I was completely unaware of it. Ambot spent $60 on a face lotion that she didn't need. Even though the price tag made me grimace, I decided to use it because he'd already purchased it. It didn't do anything extraordinary for me, therefore I didn't repurchase it after the bottle ran out of freshness.
My cosmetics is normally purchased from a buddy who is an Avon representative. I like to shop at Avon sales. Lipstick at $1.99? That's a steal. I'll take a few of different hues. The same may be said for eye shadow, foundation, and nail polish as well. If it's on sale, I'll pick up a few of extras. Deodorant for only.99 cents per unit? I'm going to stock up for a year.
Fortunately, I had a good supply of Avon products on hand prior to Ambot becoming engaged with Amway. I informed him that I was still interested in purchasing Avon from our acquaintance. Better prices, a greater selection, and the same level of quality. Ambot was enraged by what had happened. "You must support our business by making purchases from our store." That is, in fact, Amway lingo.
However, I pointed out that if I were the only customer, then we would be a bunch of morons for charging such a high price for our products.
In spite of this, my Avon stock remained in good condition during my time with Amway. After my pricey Amway face cream ran out, I had to sneak into a medicine store to pick up some more to keep my skin looking fresh. The $15 product outperforms the $60 product by a significant margin. Yikes! When I think about it, I can't believe Ambot was so brainwashed as to spend that amount of money when there's a superior quality product available for a fraction of the cost. We'll be able to treat ourselves to a nice supper somewhere with the money we've saved ($45). This is far superior to the upline splitting a $45 commission!
One of the things that truly bothers me is the lies that my upline told me about Artistry being one of the top 5 cosmetics companies in the world. In my study, depending on which list (generally magazines compile these surveys), Artistry ranks somewhere between 15 and 30, which is not too awful in the grand scheme of things, but certainly not among the top 5, you liars. I'm guessing that not many independent business owners (IBOs) consider investigating to determine if their upline is lying or not. I believe the only list where Artistry appears in the top 5 is a study conducted by Amway and given exclusively to Independent Business Owners (IBOs).
Forbes magazine is a dependable source of information. Here is their list of the top ten most popular cosmetics in the world:
Maybelline
Avon
L’Oreal
Lancome
Clinique
Revlon
Estee Lauder & Co.
The Maximum Factor
Model for the Cover
Shiseido
That ranking appears to be a decent representation of the world's top ten. So how come I've heard multiple times at Amway meetings that Artistry is one of the top five products to promote? In more exact terms, number 1 or number 2. I'm looking at the top 5 names on the Forbes list, and I don't see the word "Artistry" anywhere.
The survey should be sent out to all Amway Independent Business Owners, and because they are all excellent Ambots, everyone should chose the Artistry cosmetic line as their favourite. This is where upline gets their statistics from, right? You bunch of liars have skewed the findings. I'm confident that if I went to a poodle dog show and asked all of the owners what the most popular breed of dog in the world is, I'd be able to predict what the results of the survey would be.
If we look outside of Amway circles or surveys influenced by Amway, we will not find evidence that "Artistry is among the top five cosmetics in the world."
That statement, in my opinion, is yet another example of the phrase "never question upline."
