Following up on my last piece about "counselling with upline," I'd like to share some additional thoughts.
After a certain amount of life experience, people learn to distinguish between excellent and bad counsel, taking what works for them and discarding the rest. It can be beneficial to get advice from skilled financial advisors or other specialists for both your business and personal affairs.
People with similar aspirations include getting out of debt, putting money in the bank, purchasing a home, making sensible investments, and retiring comfortably without having to worry about finances. Those are the fundamentals. A number of people will have varied financial objectives, such as purchasing a motorcycle or a jet plane, or establishing a charitable foundation of their own.
There are numerous routes that lead to the finish line. Throughout the years, I have sought and received counsel from people who are more knowledgeable and experienced than I am. Some of the advise is sound, but others are not so much. I've even given counsel when I've been asked. Never, ever invest in the stock market! On occasion, I'll be riding the ponies at the racetrack!
In the years before becoming affiliated with Amway, Ambot was debt-free. He began charging, charging, and more charging all of these crappy Amway products, doing tricks in the hopes of impressing his upline. Stupid garbage that we have never purchased before. We don't buy bottled water very often. Ambot was now purchasing it in bulk, at a cost 10 times greater than the cost of a gallon of water at the grocery store. Did you notice a difference in the flavour of the water? Nope. Water is simply water. It didn't have a bad flavour, and neither does the water we buy at the supermarket. Vitamins help to balance the yin and yang. We eat a fairly healthy diet, with plenty of fresh food, and have never needed vitamins in the past. And so it went on and on and on. His credit card bill continued to rise inexorably.
I've read a number of books written by financial professionals, and one of my current favourites is written by David Bach, who is a financial specialist himself. He is the author of the Automatic Millionaire and the Finish Rich series, among other works. His books are highly recommended by me.
Ambot and I were taking a drive one day when this happened. He was behind the wheel of my vehicle. He is telling me that his upline Emerald advised him to take up a home equity line of credit in order to pay off the credit card debt. I informed him that David Bach advocates obtaining a zero-interest or low-interest credit card and consolidating all of one's credit card debt onto a single credit card. Apparently, Ambot was offended that I dared to suggest something other than what his upline had advised. He stomped on the gas pedal and we zoomed ahead at roughly double the speed limit of 40mph, despite my yelling at him to slow down. When I was in the backseat, an apple I had in my shopping bag came out and exploded against the back windshield since he was travelling so quickly.
I'm relieved to say that we did not take out a home equity loan to enable him to pay off his credit card debt. When I saw him pay it down, I knew he'd start charging Amway crap on it as soon as he got it back.
This man's fury over the prospect of someone other than his beloved Emerald coming up with a better scheme is beyond comprehension. Those cult leaders have complete influence over their followers, which is both frightening and awful.
Learning to Understand the Complicated Relationships Between Love and Hate in Amway Uplines
Amway is a firm that engages in multi-level marketing, sometimes known as MLM. The organization has a wide network of distributors, many of whom maintain tight relationships with their uplines, or the individuals who brought them into the business. The relationship between distributors and their upline can be both supportive and challenging, resulting to a wide spectrum of emotions that might include both love and hate for one another. We dive into the reasons why some people have a positive relationship with their Amway upline while others have feelings of anger or contempt toward them in this post.
Who Enjoys Working With Their Amway Upline?
Mentorship and Support: The fact that people are given mentorship and support by their Amway upline is one of the key reasons that people get fond of their Amway upline. It is common for uplines to build a deep link with their downlines when they actively guide and mentor their downline by providing them with instruction, guidance, and motivation. They help their team members through the hurdles of creating a business by serving as a source of inspiration and motivation for those members of their team.
When people are successful and reach the financial goals they set for themselves inside the Amway organization, they have a tendency to hold their upline in high respect. This is because success and financial rewards go hand in hand. Uplines that have guided, led, and provided their downlines with chances that have resulted in increased affluence are typically adored and liked by others in their downline because of the success they have helped their downline accomplish.
Amway distributors frequently get together to form close-knit communities, and the upline plays a significant part in the process of cultivating a sense of camaraderie among the distributors. It's common for downlines to have a lot of affection for their uplines if they foster a community that's welcoming, encouraging, and makes everyone on the team feel like they're a part of a bigger family. These connections go beyond the realm of business and have the potential to become sources of friendship as well as emotional support.
Growth and Development on an Individual Level: Some people adore their Amway upline because it allows them to develop on an individual level while operating under their leadership. It is common practice to praise uplines for their dedication to the all-around development of their downlines when the upline leader places a strong emphasis on personal growth, self-improvement, and the acquisition of new skills.
Who Despises Their Amway Upline? Those Who Do!
Lack of Support and Engagement: The perception of a lack of support or engagement from one's Amway upline is one of the most common reasons why individuals have bad feelings toward their Amway upline. Frustration and anger can arise when uplines fail to provide guidance, neglect to address problems, or demonstrate a lack of interest in their downlines' growth.
Unfulfilled Promises: If an upline makes promises of speedy success or financial benefits that do not materialize, it can result in disillusionment and a strong sense of disappointment because those promises were not met. The relationship between an upline and their downline can become strained if the upline repeatedly breaks their commitments to the downline.
Pressure and Manipulation: If a person feels that they are being pressured or manipulated into making excessive purchases or recruiting people into the Amway business, it is possible that they will develop bad feelings towards their Amway upline. The connection may become strained, and possibly even hostile, if high-pressure methods and an unrelenting focus on meeting sales goals are used.
Lack of Integrity: When uplines participate in unethical tactics or misrepresent the Amway business model, it has the potential to develop a sense of mistrust and hatred among Amway distributors. The relationship between upline and downline can become irreparably damaged when the upline places more emphasis on their personal financial success than the success of their downline.
The relationship between Amway distributors and their uplines can elicit a wide range of intense feelings, from love and adoration to hatred and contempt, depending on the circumstances. Others may have unfavorable views because they believe their upline has not lived up to their expectations or has failed to fulfill the promises they made. Many people, however, are grateful for the support, guidance, and opportunities provided by their upline. It is essential to keep in mind that different people will have different experiences, and that not all Amway uplines will fall into these broad categories. Distributors and their uplines need to be able to communicate freely with one another, trust one another, and be committed to each other's personal and professional development for the partnership to be effective and happy.
