As the cliche goes, "Your job is abbreviated JOB, which stands for Just Over Broke, and that is all you will ever be so long as you're working for someone else rather than for yourself."
Every Amway meeting began and ended with this motto.People who were employed would be put down by the Platinum bucket of dung. Forget about the fact that he'd been working for someone else at a paid job for the previous 20 years.
In addition, we were told that J.O.B. was a four-letter term. Hmmm. Someone got kicked out of math class because of this one. I see three letters on the screen. What is it about four-letter words that bothers you? The majority of these are used to describe our previous upline!
The Platinum frequently disparaged those who kept down employment and worked for someone else, thereby assisting their employer in realising his or her aspirations.
The people that work at WWDB must be the most dissatisfied people in the planet. At Amway meetings, they are taught to despise their employment and to do whatever it takes to achieve financial independence.
But what about folks who already own their own businesses, are earning a good living, and have the ability to choose their own working hours? After many years of being my husband's buddy, an arrogant jerk came around hounding him to attend meetings. By that time, my Ambot had been in business for several years and was easily earning six figures.
Whether you believe it or not, the Platinum piece of shit had a negative attitude about self-employed company people. According to him, it was improbable that people could be successful business owners even if they did not own a company that had anything to do with selling Amway items.
Whether it's Amway or another company, not everyone has the ability to be a business owner. Despite the fact that they advertise themselves as Independent Business Owners, Amway representatives are actually commission-based salespeople. Some people will never be successful business owners, whether they are affiliated with Amway or not. It is a different way of thinking, and not everyone possesses it. It takes discipline to be a boss and operate a firm, and not everyone possesses this trait.
What's the point of putting others down? If they work a J.O.B. because it is all they are capable of doing, that is not a justification to sneer at or dismiss them. However, this is exactly what the cult leaders do. You're labelled a "failure" if you work in a job you don't enjoy. Someone else is becoming wealthy as a result of your actions. That's their point of view, so be it. There are innumerable people with J.O.B.s who make a lot of money and have large homes, luxurious automobiles, large sums of money in the bank, and travel extensively.
However, forcing people to despise their jobs and desire to be rid of their jobs results in a large number of dissatisfied cult followers. A number of people will abandon their jobs and become reliant on government aid, while others will be fired because their attitude is deplorable.
Don't give up on your job. You require the funds in order to pay for the Amway stuff.
Also, don't believe the hype that Amway is the only business opportunity available. Visit your local library and check out books on business ideas and how to start and run your own company. Look into other possibilities. Amway isn't the only option available. For those considering quitting their day jobs, there are far better self-employment prospects to be found elsewhere.
