It's no surprise that my Ambot fell for it head over heels and ran all over town to attend many Amway meetings each weeknight. Despite his best efforts, he could not get enough of listening to his cult leaders.
"Just by showing up, you have the potential to grow your business tremendously." The cult leaders screamed at their followers to do as they were told. The time away from your family and the sleep deprivation are unimportant since you are a winner, a leader, and an inspiration to everyone in your downline beneath you.
The only person who would benefit from this would be the upline who could brag to their upline about how many members of their downline showed up for meetings.
Unfortunately, no matter how many meetings and functions Ambots attend, it is quite likely that they will not be successful. According to Amway literature, less than one percent of independent business owners (IBOs) genuinely make money. That equates to a failure rate of 99 percent.
